Train (not recommended)
There are no direct trains from Barcelona Airport to Tarragona/La Pineda. Therefore, it is necessary to take a train into the centre of Barcelona to head out towards the south of Catalunya. For more info, go to:

Steps:
1. From Terminal T2 take the train “R2 Nord” to Estació de Sants. Estació de Sants is Barcelona’s main train station.
If landed at Terminal T1, a free shuttle bus between terminals (from T1 to T2) should be taken.
Details: train frequency of 30 minutes, and has an approximate duration of 19 minutes.

2. At Estació Sants, there are an abundance of trains that run from Estació Sants to Tarragona – approximately four every hour. The trains vary in journey time – some stopping at many stations and some direct.
Details: the journey lasts between approximately 1 – 1.5 hours.

3. In Tarragona, the only viable option is to reach La Pineda by bus (Line 21, LA PLANA), as la Pineda has no train station
