PPEPPD Conference Dinner - May 24

The Gala Dinner will be held at the historical place Mas Passamaner. More info here

Mas Passamaner is a modernist tower located in the municipality of La Selva del Camp (Tarragona). This mansion is an example of the economic splendor of the 1920s in Catalonia. It is a building of classical structure, attributed to Lluís Domènech i Montaner and Pere Domènech Roura, which was built next to a small pre-existing farmhouse, completely integrated into the new construction on the outside. It is a large house with an asymmetrical facade on three levels: the central, highest, with a tower topped by a broken pediment with a niche and a double-pitched roof; the one on the left, where the main door is located, with a four-sided roof, and the one on the right with a double-sided roof.
As an element to highlight, the balcony on the first floor flanked by turned brick columns, with an attached gazebo with twin windows, with the same type of columns and carved stone capitals. The facade is decorated with sky blue tiles and sgraffitos, and the openings show exposed brick work on the cornices, columns and other architectural elements, glazed ceramics on the rosettes and rivets, and wrought iron railings. The original carpentry of the doors, balconies and windows, painted in blue, is still preserved. After a profound restauration preserving the historical flavor it is currently used as a charming hotel.
